A decommissioned 2003 Volvo Plaxton one-floor coach will finally have a place called home this Autumn 2020, being transformed into an innovative multi-purpose space for the Bubble & Squeak project.

The ‘Bubble & Squeak Studios’ will be situated at Old Oak Primary School, East Acton, close to works on the HS2.  The project is in collaboration with L Lynch and CSJV.

Bubble & Squeak got the chance to repurpose the bus through a donation to CSJV by RATP Dev London as the vehicle no longer met emissions standards.

Inside it will be a fully kitted out space with foldable desks and seating areas, creating an inspiring teaching space for children, opportunities for workshops for the local community and a new HQ for Bubble & Squeak volunteers and partners.

The space will also be used to hire out to external organisations for hot-desking, as a meeting space, host birthday parties workshops, and much more exciting things to come!

Gideon Dzewu, Community Engagement Officer for Costain Skanska HS2 Enabling Works South Delivery JV shared with us “it is really important to Lynch, CSJV and Bubble & Squeak to collaborate on this project and give back to the community, leaving behind a legacy as part of HS2.”
